Job description:
University Hospitals Bedford campus of UH Regional Hospitals, is a 110-bed, private, nonprofit, full-service, acute-care community hospital. Originally founded in 1908, the hospital has grown through the years to keep pace with an ever-expanding population and demand for high-quality, accessible medical care. Recent additions and enhancements include the addition of the UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute, offering invasive and noninvasive procedures; an MRI suite with separate entrance and parking; the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center; the UH Neurological Institute, offering general neurology services and advanced stroke care; upgraded CT capabilities; expansion of the Emergency Department; and renovations throughout the facility. The medical center also includes an Outpatient Surgery Center.

Duties include:
• Facilitate JCAHO coordination of continual readiness and ORYX (Core Measures) reporting requirements.
• Abstracts, analyzes and facilitates performance improvement projects to facilitate management of hospital operations.
• Facilitate preparation of managed care documents, Board Reports, medical staff credentialing quality profiles, etc.
• Facilitate efficient operations (accreditations, special projects, etc.)

Education, training, experience:
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality principals. Experience and knowledge of JCAHO Survey preparation and process. Patient Satisfaction/ Service Excellence experience preferred. Computer skills required with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access. Able to prioritize and handle multiple work responsibilities/ tasks. Flexibility in work hours required. Exceptional organizational skills including data base management and reporting. Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education Requirements:
BSN

License Requirements:
Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio

Preferred Qualifications:
CPHQ preferred but not required
