Nursing Unit Coordinator
Full-Time Days, 40 hours/week
6 months current TB clinic experience preferred or recent case management experience preferred.

The Unit Coordinator functions as a lead person at Mercy TB Clinic. She/he is responsible in developing and maintaining quality patient care for active and potentially active TB cases. The Coordinator will carry out all necessary clinical and technical tasks associated with TB care and oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies used for such procedures The Coordinator will work closely with the contracted physician overseeing care, staff and other Mercy departments.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Requirements:
Graduate of approved school of Nursing, current RN license in Ohio. BSN preferred.
Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
Minimum of six months of experience working in a TB Clinic environment.
Working knowledge of government regulations and standards for providing care to TB patients.
Knowledge of medications and procedures specific to the care of TB patients.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the responsibility to operate within the established budget.
Must possess self-direction, motivation and time management skills.
Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people at varying ages, education, social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
Flexible to adapt and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
